Hogwarts Divided
Despite the frequent warnings of the Sorting Hat to unite within the houses, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has never been more divided. Fear of Voldemort keep students and teachers alike constantly looking over their shoulder. There is fighting and arguing sweeping the school. Even those who have been friends for years are now turning their backs on each other.
The wizarding world is worse. More wizards and witches are swelling Voldemort’s ranks every day, and the Death Eaters are kidnapping and torturing and murdering… The prospect of destroying this evil does not seem bright. There is only one person that has any hope of stopping Voldemort, and that is Harry Potter.
Now 17 years old, a fully-fledged wizard, Harry was persuaded by his friends and Professor McGonagall, the new Headmistress of Hogwarts, to return to school for his final year. However, it seems like Harry leaves school more than he attends classes. He, Ron, and Hermione have been frequently leaving Hogwarts to dash around the world if they get a lead on a Horcrux. Even so, they have not found one yet, and there are four left to find.
Ron and Hermione are not the only ones helping Harry. Although they rarely leave the school with him, Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, and Neville Longbottom have also been in on the search for the Horcruxes. If it wasn’t for the support of his friends, it is most likely that Harry would have given up long ago.
All in all, dark times are afoot in the wizarding world. Many have given up hope, and just huddle in their homes, hoping that they will be spared. With Dumbledore gone, terror penetrates the hearts of wizards and Muggles alike. But will those working against Voldemort be able to stop him once and for all? Or will darkness engulf the world?
